PROVERBS 19: 17
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
THE NEED
Our Lady Queen of Peace church is a Vincentian parish of 400 families, most of who are peasant farmers in a rural village in Kenya called Karuiro. They suffer from a lack of water to clean, cook and drink. The small school of 450 children suffer from disease and sickness because what water they can get is tainted and contaminated.

THE REALITY
Because of the harsh landscape and no wells or aquifers- women and children walk a 3 mile stretch to the closest river, where they fill a jug to bring back for drinking and cooking. Because they can't afford vehicles it is a journey they make 3-4 times each day.

And the water? It is contaminated and dirty with livestock wading in it. Disease and sickness are common. But what choice do they have?

THE SOLUTION
Here's where we come in!

Collecting rain water during the monsoon season and storing it. It involves purchasing massive storage tanks and a series of piping and mechanical structures to direct the rain from rooftops to purifying filters and into the storage tanks.

They need 40 tanks to provide for the parish and the school. Each phase of 10 tanks cost USD $33,000. Our hope is to build all 40 tanks/systems for the parish. We can do this God Minute!
