Miraculous Medal Resources

The Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is Saturday, November 27. Lauren will be giving a reflection on our Marian Saturday prayer that day about the history of this Feast and the origins of the Miraculous Medal. We hope you pray along with us!

If you weren't aware, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal has a special place in the hearts of The God Minute Prayer Team because she is often associated with the Vincentian Spirituality that is the hallmark of our ministry. Therefore, as we celebrate her Feast, we have put together additional resources on the Miraculous Medal so that you can find out more and begin to pray with Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal yourself.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Testimonies from Members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal

As mentioned in the video about the AMM above, they get many testimonies from their members about how Our Lady is working through the medal and the association. Below are a few powerful stories:

Dear Father,

I want to share this testimony about my daughter. She was in the hospital in a coma. The doctors were doing the best they could, but they were at a loss about how to help her. When I received the news that she was in a coma, I decided I must be at her side even though I lived over 400 miles away. Before I left, I received in the mail the Miraculous Medal that I had ordered from our Lady’s Association. I took it with me. On my way, I kept praying, asking God to help me, to show me what I should do. The doctors could not give us any good news about my daughter. At my daughter’s side, I took my Miraculous Medal in my hands and began to pray to our Lady, asking the Mother of God to help my daughter out of the darkness of the coma if it was God’s will. I asked our Lady to give me the strength to accept his will. That same night, my daughter came out of her coma! She began to make a rapid recovery and soon came home to her family. Praise the Lord and our Lady for giving us the great miracle of life that my daughter received.

Letter from Florida

Dear Father,

My brother suffers with alcoholism. I gave him a Miraculous Medal to wear, which he did put on. One week later, my brother decided it was time to go to rehab. He is currently a few weeks into his recovery journey and everything is looking up for him. I truly believe our Lady is helping my brother. Glory be to God Almighty. Please join me in praying for my brother’s full healing.

Dear Father,

I have always had a great devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. I wear the Miraculous Medal and pray the novena every day. In July 2010, I needed emergency brain surgery. It was the quickest decision I ever had to make. I placed my life in the hands of Jesus and asked Mary, my dear Mother, to assist me, the doctors, and the nursing staff. I was open to whatever God’s will was for me. I am ever grateful to Mary, and Jesus, as I know they have given me a second chance at life on earth. I thank our dear Mother each day. When my time comes, I hope she will bring me to her Son, Jesus.

Dear Father,

Since I was a little girl, I had a Miraculous Medal hidden in my jewelry box. I really didn’t know it was a Miraculous Medal until I read about Saint Catherine Labouré. It was then I realized that what my grandmother had given me was a Miraculous Medal. I decided to pray the Miraculous Medal Novena because I’ve suffered with anxiety my entire life. Lately, I’ve been struggling with resentment, anxiety, and a general feeling that I don’t have a purpose in this life. After putting on the Miraculous Medal and praying the novena, I felt a sense of clarity about my life. My anxiety and depression have been replaced with a new sense of hope, stronger faith, and love. Clearly this was not my own doing. I was also able to forgive two people who had hurt me, and not only that, I enjoy their company now! Thank you Blessed Mother for listening to my prayers and for your intercession on my behalf. Thank you Jesus for filling my heart with more of you and less of me.

Dear Father,

I am writing to tell you about my miracle from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. In January of 2012, I was diagnosed with cancer of the bone marrow. I suffered with excruciating pain. Medication did not help much. Later, I was diagnosed with another blood disorder. At this point I felt so sick that I began a Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, which I’ve prayed in time of need for more than 50 of my 80 years. I asked our Lady to obtain a miracle for me through her Son, or to at least extend my life a little longer to get my affairs in order. Later, my doctors told me that both my diseases are now in remission! I truly believe that through the intercession of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, these blessings were obtained for me. I am so grateful!
